All about ripple and the person behind its success
Brad Garlinghouse has been Ripple’s CEO since 2015 and also remains on the board of directors of the company. Born in Topeka, Kansas, on February 6, 1971, Garlinghouse has a BA in Economics from the University of Kansas and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Garlinghouse was the CEO of file sharing programme Hightail previous to serving at Ripple. Garlinghouse has occupied executive positions at Yahoo and AOL, holding degrees from the University of Kansas and the University of Harvard. Garlinghouse is also an angel investor in many businesses, including AI firm Diffbot and staffing platform Wonolo, in addition to leading Ripple.
Throughout the year, Ripple has engaged in strategic collaborations with numerous financial services entities to accelerate the cross-border transfer, settlement and remittance usage of the Ripple is Net blockchain network, including high-profile firms such as PNC, Moneygram and Finastra.
Garlinghouse reflected on Facebook’s Libra project in an interview with Fortune, saying that the social media giant would not deliver the digital currency before 2023 due to substantial regulatory pressure and pushback.
Amid controversies over Ripple XRP business strategy and association with the XRP asset, Garlinghouse responded by saying that the openness of Ripple has “opened them to attack.” Many opposed the business model of the organisation as merely marketing XRP annually to institutional and retail buyers rather than the asset being integral to its software services suite.
XRP is currently the fourth-largest cryptocurrency, and by the end of 2021 it is looking for a lot of advances. As per the XRP price patterns, analysts expect that endless collaborations with financial institutions will be entered into. By 2021, the $2 mark could also touch XRP.
